BBG Governor Perino and Executive Director Trimble to Take Part in Panel on Digital Media Landscape
Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) member Dana Perino and BBG Executive Director Jeffrey Trimble will take part in a discussion at the New America Foundation beginning at 1:00 PM on December 8, 2010 in Washington, DC. The event, which is co-sponsored by Rutgers University Institute for Information Policy and Law and the Georgia State University Department of Communications, will focus in particular on how public media organizations can adapt new technologies both to enhance reporting and better engage their audiences.
The program will be divided into four parts: a conversation between Lee Bollinger, president of Columbia University, and Susan Glasser, editor-in-chief of Foreign Policy magazine; a panel discussion on the place of international news coverage in public media; a question and answer session with Governor Perino and BBG Executive Director Trimble; and a panel discussion on the curation of information and audience engagement in public media.
