The program will showcase the stories of 17 Cuban students who came to study in Miami for six months on a pilot scholarship program put together by the Foundation for Human Rights in Cuba, an organization that paid for the students’ tuition, living expenses and other auxiliary costs in conjunction with Miami Dade College.
In the 25-minutes long documentary, students share their experiences living briefly in a free society, what they’ve learned and what they’ll miss most when they go back to Cuba.
Somos un Solo Pueblo will air on TV Martí, as well as on several Miami-based affiliates, Mira TV and Mega TV .
