Description: VOA’s Matiullah Abid Noor, Mohammad Jafar hos a popular weekly sports show on Radio Ashna in Pashto language. Matiullah Abid Noor has also covered Afghan cricket during the last few years when it made great achievement at world level. Matiullah Abid Noor also has a large following on Facebook for his reporting on cricket. Last year Afghan Cricket Board sent certificates of recognition to Matiullah Abid Noor and his show’s Cohost Mohammad Jafar for their contribution to promoting cricket in Afghanistan.
Matiullah Abid Noor was given another award by the embassy of Afghanistan in India for his contribution in the field of sports.
VOA’s Kabul based TV sports reporter Wahidullah Faizi Safi was also given a similar award by the Cricket Board.
