BBG wins three CFC awards
The Broadcasting Board of Governors earned three awards from the Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area (CFCNCA), thanks to the hard work of the CFC keyworkers at VOA, IBB, TSI and OCB.
The awards were presented at the CFCNCA Campaign Finale on Thursday, March 3, at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History.
- BBG won the campaign contest for Most Innovative Campaign Technique (small agency) for incorporating traditional winter holiday themes to raise CFC awareness and encourage the spirit of giving. The campaign included “Giving Tree” decorations to track progress, winter carolers during the final charity fair and original lyrics to a traditional tune for “Oh Giving Tree, Oh Giving Tree…”
- BBG received the CFC e-Giving Award for boosting electronic participation by more than 10 percent.
- The IBB Reporting Unit won the Honor Award for per capita giving of $175 or more.
BBG will hold its own CFC Finale from 11:30 to 12 on Friday, March 25, to celebrate all of those who gave their time and pledges to make this year’s campaign a rousing success.
