Maputo: Radio and television station management
Journalists from radio and television were trained to understand and successfully implement their roles as managers in their respective radio and television stations. The workshop was facilitated by IAJ from 15–17 August 2017, at hotel Africa in Maputo. Twenty journalists attended.
Journalists were trained to value and acquire knowledge of professional management as a determinant factor for the sustainability of media enterprises, particularly radio and television stations in Mozambique. They acquired ways to adjust sustainability strategies and delivery of services taking into consideration the political, social, technological, cultural and economic context of the radio and television stations in Mozambique.
The journalists examined specific management strategies through aspects of production, management, finances, marketing and fundraising, and planning. As an outcome, they gained a better understanding of the challenges of the radio and television market in the digital migration.
