Alhurra TV wins Silver at the New York Festivals
Alhurra Television’s promotional video for the acclaimed series Exiting ISIS won the Silver Medal for Best Promotional Program at the 2018 New York Festival International Television and Film Awards on April 10th. Exiting ISIS is a documentary series that interviews defectors who provide first-hand accounts revealing the extremist group’s entrenched culture of deception, intimidation, cruelty, drugs, and sexual abuse. The ceremony was held in Las Vegas, Nev.
In addition to the Silver Medal, Alhurra’s on-air promotional campaign for Exiting ISIS was named a finalist for Best Promotional Campaign for a Documentary Series.
“Exiting ISIS is an important documentary series that highlighted the atrocities of ISIS in the Middle East. The fact that Alhurra was recognized for two projects related to the series demonstrates how powerful the program is,” stated Amb. Alberto Fernandez, MBN President. MBN oversees and manages Alhurra Television. “I am proud of this program, as well as those that created these stellar promotional materials.”
