Countering the Language of Violent Extremism in Somalia
Somali journalists based in Somalia, Kenya and Djibouti learned and practiced developing good stories that promote peace and democracy, and counter extremist narrative. Case studies of the Somali media products focused on developing a clear Somali language delivery of stories. Journalists also mastered skills of situational awareness and preparedness for challenges of reporting in moderate – to high-risk environments.
