One of the ironies of journalism is that, despite the effort and hard work needed to produce a story, it is likely to be disseminated by the cheapest and most ephemeral of media: either paper, or sound waves, or pixels.
But these individual pieces of paper, sound clips, or pixels get bound together by time and perspective to eventually become history.

Radio Free Iraq (RFE/RL) reporter, Khamail Muhsin Khalaf, was kidnapped, tortured, and shot in the head in April 2007. Her body was found on the west bank of the Tigris River near her home in Baghdad.
