Exclusive VOA interview looks inside promising vaccine trial
As the world awaits the arrival of an effective vaccine for COVID-19, in late July, researchers at Oxford University announced promising results from early trials of the vaccine they are developing.
Bosnian scientist Branko Rihtman of Warwick University volunteered to participate in the phase two trial of the vaccine, and in an exclusive interview, told VOA about his experience.
The interview was picked up by leading news outlets in the Balkan region including B92, Vecernji List-Hrvatska, Vesti Happy TV, and banjaluka.net, providing insight into a promising development as Southeastern European countries, like many parts of the world, continue to grapple with the pandemic.
First reported by VOA’s Bosnian Service, the story was versioned in English and widely shared by language services across VOA, including VOA Russian, VOA Serbian, and VOA Macedonian.
