The future of radio in Latin America
A virtual conference was organized by USAGM on February 11, 2021. The conference involved expert panelists to discuss the future of radio in Latin America.
USAGM virtually brought together panelists from Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Venezuela and the United States.
The conference lasted three hours and was moderated by RMO, Iscar Blanco. The panel of experts answered questions from more than 65 participants about the path that traditional radio is taking, the effects of online radios, the silence of the press by authoritarian governments, new technologies, advertisement in times of crisis, and the strategies to follow in the coming years.
