Digital, physical, psychological safety and security of journalists in the Philippines
The three-day online course on physical, digital, and psychological safety addressed the increasing attacks against journalists in the Philippines, exacerbated by a continuing culture of impunity. It equipped journalists, especially those working in hostile environments, with basic skills and knowledge on personal safety and security.
At the end of the course, 25 participants had a better understanding of how to address risks through rapid assessments, planning and preparation, secure their devices and data through digital security, and recognize and deal with traumatic stress.
