Nicaragua: Social Media Language
USAGM offered a 3-hour virtual training in Spanish on April 29, 2022, which focused on the language and marketing strategies used to attract new audiences, how to maintain best practices of information, and the use of new media tools for fact-checking.
Regional Marketing Officer Iscar Blanco and VOA Spanish Managing Editor Gesell Tobias offered the training to more than 25 participants in Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Spain via Microsoft Teams.
Participants discussed social media strategies to attract new audiences, and the use of social media platforms, including features like Facebook Live for interviews.
