MBN’s “American Highlights” wins bronze
Washington, D.C. — MBN’s newest podcast, “American Highlights,” won the bronze medal at the inaugural Signal Awards, a competition honoring the best podcasts from around the world. The “American Highlights” episode exploring Jewish communities in the U.S. won for Best Editing.
“Podcasts and digital audio content are a priority for MBN and it is an honor to be recognized for this excellent work,” stated Middle East Broadcasting Networks (MBN) Acting President Hassan Shwiki. “We are very proud of this dedicated and enthusiastic team and look forward to launching even more quality podcasts this year.”
“American Highlights” podcast looks into America and its culture. Each episode interviews people from across the country who illuminate America’s history and how it impacts contemporary issues facing the U.S. It also highlights what makes America unique.
The Signal Awards celebrates the people and content raising the podcasting bar. The Signal Awards is committed to honoring this innovative new art form and the impact podcasting has on digital storytelling–from changing how we see the world to seeing one another. This year marks the first year of the competition and included nearly 1700 entries.
