Venezuela: Best Practices, Copyrights, and Digital Marketing
USAGM’s Business Development, in collaboration with Venezuela’s news agency VenPrensa, organized a series of three workshops concentrating on key topics: best practices, copyrights, news marketing, and ethical conduct for journalists.
The workshops, attended by over 60 journalists, took place from November to December. Juan Carlos Colina, the director of Venezolana de Prensa (Venprensa), conducted an inductive workshop on news management and copyright on November 21st. Sandy Aveledo addressed News Marketing on November 28th, and USAGM Regional Marketing Officer (RMO) Iscar Blanco concluded the series with a workshop on new audiences and the use of the USAGM’s content distribution platform Direct on December 7th.
This training provided journalists with insights into the emerging trends in the media business and the services offered by USAGM and VOA.
