Broadcasting Board of Governors to meet with Secretary of State
Members of the Broadcasting Board of Governors are scheduled to meet with Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on Thursday, September 13. The meeting will be held at the Department of State in Washington, D.C.
Participants will include BBG Presiding Governor Michael Lynton along with Governors Victor Ashe, Dennis Mulhaupt, Susan McCue, and Michael Meehan; Richard Lobo, Director of the International Broadcasting Bureau; and Under Secretary of State Tara Sonenshine.
The Board will update the Secretary on its strategic efforts to restructure and increase the impact of U.S. international broadcasting, and discuss other developments since its last meeting with her in June 2011.
Secretary Clinton, who serves on the BBG ex-officio, is the only Secretary of State to have met with the Board.
