Diversity Embraces Change: Communication, Collaboration and Engagement, May 14, 2013
The Broadcasting Board of Governors will hold its in-house Diversity Day on Tuesday, May 14 at 11 a.m. in the Cohen Building Auditorium.
The program, titled Diversity Embraces Change: Communication, Collaboration and Engagement, will feature guest speaker Mr. Howie Schaffer, an author, speaker, trainer and facilitator on cutting-edge topics in diversity and inclusion.
To complement the formal Diversity Day program, there will also be cultural exhibits and an ethnic food tasting held outside the auditorium. Among the talents exhibited will be a flute performance of Caribbean songs by an employee of Voice of America’s Creole service, and traditional African and Indian dances performed by a local experts. After the program, the VOA Employee House Band will entertain attendees and guests with live jazz.
