Raising the Profile of the BBG at the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union
Senior managers and regional experts for the Broadcasting Board of Governors took an active role a high-profile conference held by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union.They raised the profile of the BBG and its networks, pursued business development opportunities – particularly affiliate relationships, –and showcased our innovative digital distribution platforms.
Regional Marketing Director Birgit Berg, Director of the Office of Strategy and Development Bruce Sherman, and Director of the Office of Digital and Design Innovation Rob Bole traveled to Hanoi, Vietnam for the 50th ABU General Assembly and its associated meetings, which took place in from October 23 to 29.
While in Hanoi, Berg spoke on a panel as a part of a full-day seminar titled “Building Public Trust in Media: An Asia-Pacific Perspective.” Bole spoke with conference attendees about many of the agency’s latest innovations, and Sherman signed an agreement with Radio Netherlands Worldwide.
