Radio Martí’s morning show gets a revamp
On September 30, Radio Martí’s morning show Tempranito y de Mañana said goodbye to long-time host Oscar del Rio. Rio’s departure, which comes after 29 years of hosting the news and information program, closes a significant chapter in the history the radio broadcaster. New hosts Miosotiz Parapar and Yoan Dominguez together with Lucy Garcia will usher in the new era of the morning call-in show which provides four hours of news, information, sports and entertainment.
“Tempranito is the face of information and news, where we have this luxury… this responsibility of waking up our audience, opening the door and setting the mode for the rest of their day,” said Ms. Parapar. “We want to leave Cubans thinking, analyzing and reasoning”.
The new hosts will begin broadcasting on October 1.
