Radio-TV Advertising and Sales Training: Rwanda and Uganda
BBG/VOA sponsored a four-day workshop for radio and TV general managers and sales managers from Uganda and Rwanda media organizations.
The workshop attracted a diverse group of 14 individuals from both Uganda and Rwanda. The training agenda included discussions on challenges and issues in selling broadcast advertising in Rwanda and Uganda, the mission and business of broadcasting and the principles of broadcast management. Sessions were held on how to structure station management, the relationship between news and sales, promotions and sales, duties of sales managers, qualities and qualifications of sales managers, and leadership and styles for sales.
