Big data and media development (in partnership with IREX)
The BBG and IREX invite you to attend a January 12th research briefing on the use of data in media impact.
The BBG will discuss its strategic impact model and the varied and complicated media environments in which the agency’s networks operate. IREX will share insights on innovative approaches to media development and how the organization measures media sustainability, based on its 20-year history in the field.
BBG and impact
In this rapidly evolving media environment, the BBG networks provide an alternative to disinformation and extremist propaganda.
The BBG networks work in some of the most repressive media environments in the world to inform, engage and connect with their audiences in support of freedom and democracy. To achieve our mission, the BBG must provide quality programming and earn the trust of audiences. We monitor our progress through our impact model, which tracks engagement, connection, and being influential with audiences, media institutions, and governments through a range of quantitative, qualitative, digital, and anecdotal indicators.
