Martin Luther King: A Global Vision for Justice
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is an American civil rights icon, but his influence traveled far from the shores of this nation. From Australia to Germany to Niger, boulevards and streets bear his name, illustrating how he inspired others, especially in Africa.
Voice of America and American University team up to explore little-known facts about the conscious connection between Dr. King and African leaders as they pursued their independence from colonial rule.
This live, internationally-televised discussion will be a special edition of VOA’s Straight Talk Africa television program simulcast on radio and will be streamed live on the program’s Facebook page.
