VOA fellowship on fact-checking for Moldovan journalists
Three Moldovan journalists from Chisinau and Gagauzia region spent one month each at the Voice of America. They learned fact-checking and verification techniques and tools, and experienced the workflow and editorial process, and initiated and contributed fact-checking projects to Polygraph under the supervision of senior editors. Journalists also attended Congressional hearings and think-tank discussions, the Foreign Press Center events for journalists and produced stories for their media organizations in Moldova.
In the afternoons and evening hours the fellowship participants took advantage of DC’s exciting international community and attended lectures, professional networking happy hours, visited the Smithsonian museums within walking distance, and other cultural events.
