Fact-checking fellowship for Moldovan journalist at VOA’s Polygraph.info
Elena Derjanschi, reporter at Prime TV in Chisinau, Moldova, was trained by Polygraph.info team how to fact-check and verify information. She used her new digital skills to work on fact-checking projects and contribute content for Polygraph.info, under supervision of senior editors. Elena had meetings organized by USAGM with Freedom House, IREX, NED and PolitiFact, registered at the Foreign Press Center, visited with leaders across the capital city who are involved in Eastern European issues, and spent time in VOA Russian Service editorial meetings, observing their shows, assisting during live broadcasts and developing story ideas. VOA Russian Service cameramen helped Elena produce stories for Prime TV in Moldova.
