Afghanistan: Journalism in the Era of Digital Media
Tolo TV journalists mastered their skills in use of social media and for better understanding of the future of digital media and video production. They became aware of the VOA and RFE/RL counter-narcotics projects and importance of covering the issue of narcotics in Afghanistan. Journalists worked in groups to practice camera techniques, including camera framing and stabilization, angles, video length, understand difference between camera and phone videos and pictures. Sessions on Visual Storytelling Techniques focused on ten features/techniques of video storytelling, using example from VOA’s counternarcotics TV and digital stories.
