Jamie Fly is a Senior Counselor to the CEO of Palantir Technologies. He served as President and CEO of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) from 2019 to 2020 and from 2021 to 2023. Prior to his time at RFE/RL, Fly held several positions at The German Marshall Fund of the United States including Senior Fellow, Advisor to the President, Co-Director of the Alliance for Security Democracy, and Director of the Future of Geopolitics and Asia programs.
Fly was Counselor for Foreign and National Security Affairs to Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) between 2013 and 2017, serving as his Foreign Policy Advisor during his presidential campaign. Prior to joining Senator Rubio’s staff, Fly was the Executive Director of the Foreign Policy Initiative (FPI). Prior to joining FPI, Fly served in the Bush-Cheney Administration at the National Security Council from 2008 to 2009 and in the Office of the Secretary of Defense from 2005 to 2008. For his work in the Department of Defense, Fly was awarded the Office of the Secretary of Defense Medal for Exceptional Public Service.
He holds his B.A. in International Studies and Political Science from American University and an M.A. in German and European Studies from Georgetown University.
