Eradicating Polio, fighting to the last drop
Training for journalists in Pakistan
This training aimed to assist journalists in enhancing their technical skills to report on polio and associated health matters, as well as to strengthen health media campaigns by integrating insights gained from polio reporting experiences.
Throughout the program, participants discovered the most effective formats and tools for their stories, pitched their media projects and received feedback from peers and expert trainers.
Upon request from the reporters, UNICEF arranged a visit for all training participants to the NIH and NEOC offices in Islamabad. During this hour-and-a-half visit, attendees gained insights into virology and the epidemiological processes involved in investigating the poliovirus.
