El Salvador: New audiences, ethics, and marketing
Are new audiences actively engaging with news, or are they merely scrolling through information? How and where do they seek content? More importantly, do we know how to craft news for these evolving audiences and inspire them to read it? These were some of the key questions explored with 26 journalists and producers from Channel 12, a Voice of America Spanish-language affiliate.
USAGM Business Development expert Iscar Blanco led the training session on September 23, 2024, at Channel 12’s facilities in San Salvador, El Salvador. During the workshop, participants brainstormed and proposed innovative strategies to attract new audiences through the station’s social media platforms.
