WASHINGTON – With the announcement of three new members, the Broadcasting Board of Governors met today at its Washington, D.C. headquarters to examine in detail the function, structure and activities of the International Broadcasting Bureau. The IBB manages the transmission, distribution, digital media development, marketing, and support services for the U.S. international media networks under the BBG.
The Broadcasting Board of Governors and Voice of America, in partnership with the Aid and Development Forum, present a pre-conference training on media response during disasters.
On November 19, the BBG will hold a research briefing on media consumption in Cambodia.
WASHINGTON – The Broadcasting Board of Governors hosted a panel of six award-winning media executives to discuss digital storytelling techniques as a means of engaging audiences in rapidly changing media environments.
The members of the Broadcasting Board of Governors will meet in a closed session on October 29, 2014.
The Broadcasting Board of Governors, in partnership with the Southwest Interagency Committee, will hold its National Disability Employment Awareness Month celebration on October 27 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cohen Building. The program, titled “Expect. Employ. Empower.” will feature a keynote address by Edward “Ed” Crenshaw, a leading disability awareness expert and opening remarks by Voice of America Director David Ensor. The goal of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, which takes place each October, is to educate about disability employment issues and celebrate the many and varied contributions of America’s workers with disabilities.
