WASHINGTON, DC – The Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) will meet on Wednesday, October 23 at the BBG headquarters in Washington, D.C. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:15 a.m.
The members of the Broadcasting Board of Governors will meet in a special closed session at 11:30 a.m. on September 11, 2013. Members will participate in person at BBG headquarters in Washington, D.C., and via telephone. The agenda includes budgetary matters for Fiscal Year 2015.

WASHINGTON – Three new members of the Broadcasting Board of Governors today expressed their commitment to the mission of U.S. international media as they took part in an open meeting of the BBG board for the first time since their appointment by the President earlier this month.
The Broadcasting Board of Governors Strategy and Budget Committee met on August 13, 2013, at the BBG headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Members of the Broadcasting Board of Governors emphasized the need for global press freedom and renewed their call for the release of journalists being held in Syria.
